We love going to this park. Very clean, amble parking, great facilities. We really the fact there is no beach driving in front of the park so you feel safe to bring children. Also, there is a snack shop which is very reasonably price compared to most beach vendors. There is a splash park which the kids love as well as a play area. Covered picnic tables and some benches just to sit and watch the ocean.
Go to the beach!!!! Anywhere! If you want a great beach without all of the touristy trappings, this is a great place. The beach is beautiful and restaurants and entertainment are not far away. The area is not as crowded as Daytona. It is a great place for couples or the family. I would highly recommend a stay, short or long.
Visit Daytona Beach just 8 miles away. Races at Daytona International Speedway, Bike weeks throughout the year, Drive the beach, Daytona Beach Kennel Club, Peabody Auditorium and much more.
Ormond Brewing Company
I like micro brews and usually they are hard to find. So far this one is at the top of the list. Anyhow, being hidden in a warehouse park it is worth the hunt to find this brewery. The beer is great , and they are dog friendly. That seems to be the theme with micro breweries, you like our beer, we like your dog
Tomoka State Park
As soon as I entered I saw two deer crossing the road. I continued to the store to rent a kyak to go fishing. The man working there was very helpful and advised me on the choices of river navigation. I didn't catch any fish the first day, but spent hours watching a family of manatee! That made the trip! I hiked to the Indian statue and followed the nature trails. Plenty of on-shore fishing spots and opportunities. Very clean. It is truly a hidden treasure!
Iron Horse Saloon
